When Lizelle booked her branding session, the goal was clear. Create images she could use to launch her podcast and share her mission with more women. Her passion for helping others through natural, faith-based wellness is something people need to hear, and I believe God brought us together to make that possible. These photos are more than just marketing material; they’re part of how she’ll connect with the people she’s called to serve. I’m so glad I can share both her photos and her journey here.

I am Lizelle de Wet, a 53-year-old wife, mother, entrepreneur, and most importantly, a daughter of the living God. God created me with a deep passion for people and a servant’s heart, and to Him, I will be forever grateful. My journey may not seem unusual to the world, but it is a story handpicked by my Heavenly Father, one He has used to transform my life and equip me to help others.

From an early age, I have been drawn to the natural route of healing rather than quick medical fixes or temporary plasters. For six years, I ran a busy food truck business, catering for all kinds of events. I loved serving food that made people smile and come back for more. Yet behind the scenes, my perfectionism, need for control, and constant drive to please left my own body neglected.

I ignored the warning signs, the fatigue, the pain, and the whispers from my body telling me to slow down. My gut health was in disarray, crying out for nourishment and rest. Years of endometriosis and repeated cyst removals eventually led my doctor to recommend a hysterectomy.

A few weeks into my recovery, things took a dark turn. I developed severe anorexia, convinced that eating would worsen the constant pain under my left rib cage. My weight dropped from 52 kg to just 43 kg. My body became so malnourished that I couldn’t sit without pain — my muscles had wasted away, and I was in constant burning discomfort.

Then came the depression and anxiety, which led me down a path of prescription medication dependency. For 18 months, my husband walked this incredibly difficult journey with me. I spent time in two mental health rehabs, where heavy medication left me feeling like a shadow of myself, disconnected from my family and my faith.

And then — God stepped in.

One morning, in an instant, He touched me with His healing power. I woke up with the clear conviction to let go of what was destroying my life. I woke my husband, and together we prayed. Then, we flushed every pill down the toilet, for good. That was the turning point. God restored my health, my mind, and my relationship with Him.

Looking back, I now see the root of it all. My gut health was broken. Poor gut function had impacted my brain, my hormones, my inflammation, and my mental well-being.

Today, I am passionate about helping women understand that their gut health is foundational to every part of their lives, physical, emotional, and spiritual. God has called me to share this message, and soon, I will launch my podcast:

“Gut Health for Women – Natural Healing Rooted in Biblical Wellness.” and also www.evervital.co.za for natural wellness products.
