What made you decide to do this photo session for yourself? 


Well, for one — I wanted to celebrate everything that this final year of my 40s represents. I absolutely love dressing up, but as life gets busier, those opportunities don’t come around as often as they used to. Having my hair and makeup done professionally, slipping into outfits that make me feel amazing, and capturing it all on camera felt like the perfect way to honour this chapter. Lourensia is an absolute master at what she does, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.


How do you spend most of your time? Whether it’s work, family, passion projects, or anything else that fills your days? 


I’ve spent the past 20 years working in the pharmaceutical industry full-time , as a Sales & Product Specialist. I'm also the proud owner of Girl-School Pretoria East, where I have the privilege of working with young girls — inspiring and empowering them to grow into strong, confident, and well-rounded young women. It’s work of passion I truly love and feel called to do.

Alongside this, I do much the same for parents. As a qualified Image Consultant and Stylist at Tanja Wielsma Image & Style, I love to guide clients to embrace their unique beauty and personal style with confidence. I also have a huge pasion to assist companies and corporates to elevate their professional presence — both individually and as a brand. This includes personal styling, grooming, body language, business etiquette and communication skills that align with the company’s values and image.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me making memories and exploring new places with my family.


If you could chase any dream, no limits, what would it be?


Oh my, I have so many dreams but I think top of my list is... Take a loooong sabatical and travel around the world with my husband and my daughter! 


How did you feel before the shoot, and how did you feel afterwards?


I was extremely excited about the photo shoot and anxious to see how all would unfold. I couldn't have asked for a better exoerience. I am used to doing photo shoots for my 2 businesses and enjoy them very much, but the pamper session Lourensia offered was truly special! 


If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?


Your identity doesn't lie in your achievements, your talents, your marks at school,  how well you perform in sports, a boyfriend or what people say about you. Those things are wonderful, but they don’t define you. Your true worth and identity are found in Him — the One who created you, knows you, and loves you unconditionally.
